Portero offers an available one-year limited warranty on all watches sold on our website. This limited warranty is provided directly by Portero.
Our warranty covers the watch movement and battery replacement for the first year of ownership. The warranty covers malfunctions due to manufacturing and materials defects under regular use within the manufacturer's specifications. In the event battery replacement is required, Portero may choose to issue a reasonable battery replacement credit in lieu of having the watch returned to Portero.
The Portero warranty does not cover external damage to the product and specifically excludes damage to the watch case, crystal/glass, watch bracelet, watch bezel, straps, screws, crown/stem, finishes, or clasps/buckles, and any other physical damage to the watch.
Having the watch serviced by a party other than Portero voids this warranty. This limited warranty does not cover any damage if there is evidence of abusive use or excessive wear and tear, and it does not cover water or sand damage. Portero's obligation under this warranty is limited to either repairing the watch or, at Portero's option and in lieu of repairing the watch, refunding in full the purchase price of the watch. Any other damages, including any consequential or incidental damages, are not recoverable under this warranty or any implied warranties.
In order to return a watch for warranty service, please follow this procedure:
1. Call Portero Customer Care at 1.877.962.2398 to obtain a repair authorization and receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
2. Send the watch back to us. Include the watch (without original packaging and manuals) with the following information:
o Your name
o RMA number
o Original invoice number (or copy of your invoice)
o A brief description of the problem
o Your return address, phone number, and email address
Do not include the original manuals or original packaging with your watch (Portero cannot guarantee that these will be returned). Please pack your watch securely and use a reliable shipping carrier, such as UPS or FedEx. All shipping and other costs incurred in returning the watch are the responsibility of the customer. For your protection, you should insure your watch for its replacement value or purchase price, whichever is higher.
Watch service repair time can vary depending on the watch brand and model and the specific problem with the watch. Warranty service repairs usually take six to eight weeks. When your watch service is completed, we will email a UPS tracking number to you. Portero will pay for return UPS Ground Shipping. If you wish to have your watch returned via expedited shipping, we are happy to do so for an extra charge. Please contact our Customer Care team at the number above.
