Handbags fit for a princess

Happy anniversary, William and Kate! It’s hard to believe that it has been a whole year since that epic wedding. We’re still recovering from staying up all night.

Just a year into the Duchess of Cambridge’s reign, she’s already a style icon and the world waits to see what she’ll wear next. She represents British designers well, including Burberry, Reiss, McQueen and Matthew Williamson.

Many of her handbags are British as well — just this week, Kate paired an Anya Hindmarch clutch with her Rebecca Taylor skirt suit. As you can see in this comprehensive look book, she seems to favor smallish clutches for events.

Her best day bag so far is probably this navy Mulberry (click on thumbnail photo to see the look). Such a stunning classic design and practical — even for a princess.

We have a suggestion for her after the jump.

For summer, we think Kate would be well-served with this white Burberry Prorsum python satchel.

It feels regal right down the knight riding logo. Looks like her husband on the polo field, don’t you think?
