For a hundred years, Elgin watches kept America on time and grew to the most prolific American watch manufacturer. Once worn by Buffalo Bill Cody, President Warren G. Harding, and Babe Ruth, the company's timepieces continue to be cherished as family heirlooms and special examples are avidly collected by those who appreciate fine watches.
The elegant and refined mens timepiece featured today is a prime example of this phenomenon. The Lord Elgin line comprised the company's most luxurious offerings.
We were fortunate to acquire it in such beautiful original condition. The distinctive solid gold case is near mint; the unusual two-tone diagonal crosshair dial is 100% original showing only fairly light aging; and the well-built, Elgin movement is running strong and true.
