Antoine LeCoultre, inventor and self-taught watchmaker, started his first workshop in 1833, where he famously manufactured a revolutionary machine for producing pinions and invented the millionometer, which was the most accurate time measurement tool of its time. It wasn’t until 1903 that Edmond Jaeger commissioned LeCoultre to mass-produce his ultra-thin movement. After successful completion, Jaeger and LeCoultre joined in a business partnership, creating the brand we know today: Jaegar-LeCoultre. The brand is best known for its iconic Reverso watch model and its identifiable case, which can be turned backwards while wearing. At Portero you will find a variety of vintage, contemporary and limited edition Jaeger-LeCoultre models, including the Reverso and Memovox.
